Ikebana Workshop

Ikebana Workshop

Ikebana for Beginners

In this workshop, as an artist, I will guide you through the creative process of composing a simplistic, harmonious and balanced floral arrangement. Offering a moment of contemplation and relaxation, while learning the fundamental basics of Ikebana.

The workshop will include supplies, demonstrations & basic techniques. Due to the changing nature of plants, each class will be unique, and a new technique will be learned.

Supplies:

  • Seasonal plants & flowers

  • Kenzan (flower frog)

  • Vase

  • Shears

The simplistic form of Ikebana and the use of seasonal plants allows participants to express their individual appreciation for nature, which can be considered meditative and therapeutic. Ikebana establishes a link between humans and the natural world, reflecting on beauty and gratitude, while exploring the possibilities of sustainable art.
